Hermle Clock Movements

Mechanical clock movements wear over time. As lubricating oils age, they thicken and harden, increasing friction inside the movement. Over many years, normal wear enlarges the pivot holes and places additional strain on the gear train. Eventually, the clock may stop keeping time accurately or the chimes may no longer function properly.

Although a professional cleaning or repair is sometimes possible, replacing the movement is often the more economical and reliable solution. A new Hermle movement provides many years of dependable operation and is typically less expensive than a complete overhaul of the original movement.

Finding the correct replacement movement is simple. The numbers stamped on the back plate of your existing Hermle movement identify both the movement model and, where applicable, the pendulum length. In most cases, these numbers are all you need to order the correct replacement.
