At the heart of this extraordinary timepiece lies a masterpiece of fine watchmaking: the newly developed, gold-plated tourbillon—a world first. Designed to counteract the effects of gravity on the movement through its suspended motion, it delivers exceptional precision while serving as a visible symbol of horological excellence.

This remarkable centerpiece is complemented by a fascinating tellurium that beautifully illustrates the Earth's celestial movements. The Earth orbits the Sun once each year while rotating on its own axis every 24 hours. At the same time, the Moon revolves around the Earth every 29½ days, accurately displaying the lunar phases. As the Earth travels through the twelve signs of the zodiac, the months and days are clearly indicated on an easy-to-read flat dial.

Technical highlights include an 8-day, 4/4 Westminster chime on four polished gongs, a Power-Flow seconds hand, a mainspring, a Swiss escapement with 11 jewels, polished plates, and an automatic nighttime chime shut-off. Milled depictions of the zodiac signs on an openwork, polished rosette disc, a finely crafted calendar display, and the rotating tellurium arm featuring the Sun, Moon, and Earth complete this exceptional work of art.
